“First I want to say that I loved my original microblading done at another studio. The artist is talented and she was informative, and they turned out great. That being said, over time, with sun, and a bit of aging, they look very different than they did 6 years ago. I had some fading and oxidation of the ink so it did appear to look like a tattoo vs. microblading. I've been wanting to get them lasered for awhile but couldn't pull the trigger until I felt I had researched plenty and knew for sure I was going to the best place in Austin. Well let me tell you what, I found that place. Jody at Swamp Mermaid knocked it out of the park. We did brow therapy for awhile and talked through everything. She's personable and I felt like she was listening to me. She was so informative and thorough and I had seen her previous work. The actual lasering doesn't take long at all and the pain isn't bad. I wouldn't even call it pain, it's more like momentary discomfort. I was a little pink around the brows for maybe 2 hours post laser session and didn't wear makeup for two days after that. Thursday appointment and by Monday they look SO GOOD. The color is warmer and it's faded while still keeping the shape. I'm really happy and very impressed and a little bummed I waited so long. Please let me convince you to take the leap and go see Jody. I have maybe one or two more sessions to go, but I am sort of loving them the way they are right now and don't want them to be gone entirely. I spent months reading things on reddit and researching lasers and aftercare.
